The first layout is a New Year's type of page, and is inspired Davinie's idea of writing yourself a letter and opening it one year later. The photo is a shot my boyfriend took while experimenting with lighting. Working from the colors in the photo, I used a warm color palette of pink and grey with pops of yellow/gold.
To keep my journaling hidden, I tucked the journaling card behind the photo, and added a page tab and a badge to remind myself that it's there.
I embossed the "then" and "now" stamp onto vellum for my title and added touches of glitter in a diagonal line.

The second page has a bit of a Valentine's Day theme. While I was going through some photos of my boyfriend and I for the "Love You To Pieces" mini album, I came across this one that I had printed in a few sizes but never used. I loved the colors in the "Love You Lots" line, and I decided to use a similar color scheme with grey, mustard yellow, and pops of red. To create the flowy title, I penciled in the letters, added a thin layer of glue, and finished it off with grey/white twine.
The little speech bubble is one of my favorites, so I used pop dots to make it stand out more.
I printed my journaling onto the card directly, and added a small cluster of embellishments in the corner.
