The tree has finally been decorated thanks to the husband. I don't know what's gotten into me but I just can't find the Christmas energy to help with the decorating. Feel bad that he's been doing so much of the holiday stuff. Super grateful he's not a complainer about it.
Eddie spotted this ornament at one of the booths at a craft fair and we had to get it for Myelle. We talked about giving Myelle a little budget every year at craft fairs to pick out a new ornament that's "hers" and when she's all grown, she can take the ornaments with her and adorn her tree with them. Ahh, the start of a new tradition :).

OMG..Myelle is so cute! Those eyes - yikes, they would melt me in a minute! Love the tradition, we did the same thing for our granddaughter - when she turned 21, the ornaments were her gift..the difference being that she didn't know I had secretly made an ornament every year. It was special to her.
I'm ready for a Christmas picture of Mylo..haven't seen him on the blog lately.
Adorable.
that is so cute. and a great idea.
We've always got the kids an ornament each year too, but I really love your idea of having them pick their own...a wonderful tradition! And my brother is so sweet with the decorating...Jay does the lights and then washes his hands of it all! Myelle's looking so sweet; how can you stand it?! How can you get anything done? :) Love you guys!
Your daughter is sooo cute! Love her name!
I have the same tradition for both kids now. I make an ornament of whatever it is they are "into" at the moment each year. Since it's my daughter's first xmas, I just made a simple glass ornament with beads inside & glittered her name on the ornament. And my 3.5 y/o loves Toy Story this year so that's what his ornament is. =)
Merry Christmas!!
