studio update and giveaway

Love looking at this neat area as soon as I make my way down the last few steps of the staircase leading down to my studio.

Studio is almost all tidied up. I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all my scrap paper. Maybe just give it all away to my MIL's friend's grandkids to play with? And just get a fresh start in accumulating more:). Then there's the Christmas stuff...think I told you that I ordered/collected enough stuff to make 200 Christmas art journals but only ended up making 140 because of my feeling crappy. Maybe I'll put together little baggies of these items and list them for a good price just to get it out of my space. That'll be later though. Got too much restocking to do.

Bought more fabric to make more Sew Grateful kits. I thought the last batch was going to be it but there's still a few of you out there who want more. They'll be back in shop soon - thanks for being patient:).

Been sitting on the couch a lot and just taking it easy but feeling too good to sit still still so have been sewing like mad. These were done within the last week or so heehee.

Plan for next week or two:
-order remainder items for Escape Art Journal and make a few more
-put together some Valentines items (just a few)
-start working on restocking some other kits
-put together a new art journal:)

  2. Let's see...I've started at least 8 or more so random journals, scrapbooks, etc. And a few cards! My husband was "deployed" down to Haiti after the earthquake so I'm left with A LOT more free time than I've had in awhile and I need to figure out how to fill it!

  3. It's hard to be uber crafty with work and school, but . . . I finished three cards the other day and am working on a December mini-book (not daily because the idea of doing that seems daunting to me right now).

  18. Hi! I have read your blog for some time now and I just love it. You are very creative!
About my scrap projects... I think I have never done one but I am so inspired to start with it. So far I have done some journals as gifts.
This January has been hard for me because of my first trimester pregnancy (you know how it is :-) ) but now things are getting better and I will start with a project soon... I hope.

  19. Well, I haven't accomplished anything crafty in the New Year yet, but would love to win some of your embellishments to get me motivated! :-)

  20. Love the idea of making little bags for sale from the remainings :)

I started with crafts quite recently so I made 2 mini photo albums, 2 plain journals and a couple of granny squares so far. And also a pocket photo album (which could be considered 'scrap project' :)).

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  22. Love neat and tidy scrap spaces! I'm not showing you mine lol - it's pretty much the opposite of neat and tidy... ;-)

Scrap projects? This year I've made the final 2 pages of my JYC scrapbook and decorated the cover; made 2 pages for challenges; made a mini-book; created a sample of a project I'm doing for a class next week - and played with an awful lot of stash!! Plus I've been doing Project 365 so some of my creative time has gone into organising those photos. Oh, and Scrap Your Day! I began that in January so I did a double layout with 25 photos for that. Um.... I *think* that's everything!

    ReplyDelete
  23. well..."made" is relative term I guess since I think it denotes "finished"! I've got lots started though. Hug to Mylo...glad to hear that you are feeling so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I made a few cards and one journal with my scraps. Still have a decent pile left, but at least I turn to it more often now when working on something...

    ReplyDelete
  25. I have done 8 LO's and started my NYC mini album. Also made a camera strap cover....not a scrappy project, but a project none the less. LOL

Your studio is looking great, much better than the last pics you posted.....lol

{{hugs}} hope you feel better, and get some more energy. I was painfully tired during my pregnancy.

  26. LOts!!! 25???30?? Maybe....I've been busy LOL :)

  27. I've got a lot of projects going on - naturally when you're in the designteam of a shop and editor of a magazine there's always lots on my plate... But it's really fun.
I'd love to try a coptic binding so I really hope I'll win ;-)
And I can't wait for your new journals

    Sandy

  30. I haven't done anything! Have bought enough supplies - some from you! - to have some fun projects though. It's so hard to find creativity. I wish you could bottle some of yours to get me started.

  35. I've spent most of my creative time organizing zillions of photos, doing a photo lighting class, started a pen tablet class at JessicaSprague.com last night and will begin Stacy Julian's Library of Memories class in a couple of days but have managed to complete two altered clipboards and a Christmas present for next year (my plan is to do one, maybe two, a month and have all my handmade gifts finished by November). Also trying to fit in learning techniques for art journaling. FOCUS (my 2010 word) is my key.

  36. One.
    Sigh.
I had a bit of a slump in January after completing my 2009 December Daily. I just couldn't seem to get back into the groove.
But, I just finished the cutest little Valentine's Day cards for the kids to hand out at school and my creativity is restored.
    Hallelujah!

  44. I barely got in on this one! Phew! I knew when I didn't check yesterday there would be something new. I've done a few mini albums and finally finished my December daily (I made it out of your Christmas journal kit) and it looks amazing. I show it to everyone that comes to my house. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete

  48. I haven't done as many scrap projects as I should!! I've only done about 4, however, we were int he middle of a move (and I have a three month old) ... But now the house is "together" and I'm getting the hang of being a momma!

I've ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted to learn how to make those journals!!
