what's new at evalicious' studio

nothing much at the moment! (Geesh that's a terrible photo of me-no makeup and right after yoga but it's the only one I have right now of me in my studio) Well actually...you remember all that fabric that I was hoarding over the past 2 weeks? Well another package of them came today in the mail:). I was so excited that I gathered ALL the fabric that I got lately and I started cutting and cutting. This is what I did:

The first steps of more fabric coptic art journals=happy evalicious! Thank goodness for the trusty ol' rotary cutters or my wrists would be very sore right now. There's enough pieces to cover 100+ journals pictured above. I'd be speedy gonzales if I actually got around to turning 1/5 of that into actual finished journals! LOL!

Also paid another visit to Neil at Centennial Bookbinding in North Vancouver yesterday so he could help me cut up more papers and chipboards:). He's so nice! I wish he was my father in law. I'd hang out with him all day in his shop.

Eddie's on the strata council for our townhouse complex and the meeting's here tonight so I've gotta get a few crafty things together to keep me busy upstairs and away from the meeting. Which brings to mind that Eddie's been trying to get me to reattach the photos to this printer's drawer sitting near our front door entrance. Made this 2 years ago when we moved into this place. It looks terrible:P. The heater is right below the drawer and this past winter was super cold so the heater kept turning on which meant the photos kept curling. We got the photos laminated since but I apparently didn't tack it back on good enough. heehee.

Here's another one of these guys that I did which is on the main floor of
the house between the kitchen and living room.

Just have to share this funny: went to my parents' for a bbq on Saturday evening. You know how in cartoons, a character would get his hair or eyebrows singed. Well the bbq was giving my mom a hard time so my dad was having a look at it and poof! A part of his left brow was apparently singed! LOL. I told him I didn't notice cause he had so much to begin with. Haha! I, of course, wasn't thinking so I don't have a photo of the mishap.

(eddie and mom at the bbq).

Hope you have a good rest of the week! Can't wait to share what's been going on behind the scenes at Evalicious:). Please make sure you check back often over the next few weeks;).
xo, eve

  4. I LOVE your printer's drawer! How can I convince you to help me make one? Really great idea.
Do you make smaller fabric albums? I need 10 albums before September 6, is that possible?

  5. Hey Eve, can't wait to see your new stuff, stop teasing us! I went to Ikea yesterday and got some _gorgeous_ fabrics, made me laugh when I saw your stack 'cos I have a similar stack right here...

I also wanted to let you know that I just started a blog myself, and I've linked to your blog and your Etsy shop - I plan a future post where I will tell people all about your fab goodies and excellent service ;-) I can't promise that I'll have a massive readership (hey, I might not get _any_ visitors...) but I'll do my best to point people your way :-) The link is http://ispeakmelsh.blogspot.com/
